In the Old Testament, the shofar often symbolizes the voice of God. And on the third day, when the morning had come, there began to thunder and lightning, and a thick cloud descended upon the mountain, and there was a loud sound of a trumpet, so that all the people that were in the camp trembled with fear. Then Moses led the people out of the camp against God, and they settled at the foot of the mountain. Exodus 19:16-18.

The shofar has remained the same since biblical times. The deep and heart-touching voice is especially powerful and prophetic. A powerful voice resonates deep within us. It is described as opening spiritual doors. It is a voice heard in heaven - to the glory of God!

After that I saw, and behold, a door was open in heaven, and the first voice that I had heard as it were a trumpet speaking to me said, "Get up here... Rev. 4:1

For the Lord himself will come down from heaven with a shout of command, the voice of the archangel and the trumpet of God.. 1. Thess. 4:16 a.m

In the past, only priests were allowed to blow shofars, which were decorated with silver.

Blessed is the people who know the joy of the festival, those who walk in the light of your face, Lord! They will rejoice in your name all their days, and in the power of your righteousness they will be exalted. Psalm 89:16-17
